Resell rights come in many forms and sizes. They can come in
large packages with many products bundled together and
offered for an almost suspiciously low price. Or they can be
offered on a single product for a four-figure sum. There are
also different types of rights offered allowing you to do
different things.
Basic resell rights only give you the right to sell the
product. You cannot claim the product is your own and you do
not have permission to offer the resell rights to anyone
else. Basic resell rights are usually the cheapest, so it
may be easier to make a profit. Check the terms for how much
you can charge for the product or if it can be given away,
perhaps as a bonus with something else. There may also be
conditions for distributing the product from membership and
auction sites. If you are buying rights to software make
sure you know the product well enough to deal with any
troubleshooting enquiries. Some software rights sellers are
prepared to deal with enquiries themselves. The product may
also come with a web sales page that you can use, but check
for any restrictions.
Master resell rights often include a web page with the
product. They give you the right to sell the product and you
can also pass on this right to your customers. However that
is as far as it goes. Your customers cannot give the resell
rights for the product to their customers. The best master
resell rights packages will include a zip file containing
everything you need to put on your download page.
There are two types of resell rights that may be referred to
as private label rights. One type is where you are given the
resell rights for a finished product and you are also
allowed to put your name on the product as the author. This
type of product is a ready-to-sell information or software
product. You cannot change it other than put your name on
it.
The second type of private label rights is also known as
source code rights. The product is not a finished
ready-to-sell item. Instead it will be the raw source
material that you can use to produce a finished item.
Programs will be in the source code format; information
products will be in a word processor format, like MS Word.
You can change the product in any way you want. You can add
your name as author, add more content, omit parts or split
it into several products. You may also be able to sell
resell rights and even master resell rights. Terms and
conditions should be posted, so check them carefully. Most
private label rights packages also come with a web page and
graphics that you can use for selling.
If you have found a resell rights product that you think you
can sell you need to do some basic market research before
purchasing. How many people are searching for this type of
product? How many competing products are there? Have you
seen the product available elsewhere?
If you are going to sell on the internet you need to have
access to the following skills. You must be able to edit web
pages, create payment links and upload the product and web
pages to a server. If you are buying private label rights
you must also be able to edit the product. This is
especially important if you are buying rights for software.
There are many ways you can sell products on the internet.
You can usually set up your own website or add the sales
page to your existing site. You could invest in pay per
click ads or ezine ads. You could write articles. If you
have private label rights to a book you can use some of the
content to produce articles or even a free report for viral
marketing.
Resell rights offer the advantage of not having to produce
your own material. However, you need to be sure the product
is good quality and that you have a good marketing plan.

Need A Legitimate Work At Home Job?
http://www.wah-opportunities.com
If you work from home, chances are you already know that
you’re really pulling “double duty”. You probably work on
your business while doing the laundry, corralling the kids,
or fixing dinner… and let’s not forget all the phone calls
from family and friends expecting you to run errands or just
“go out” for an afternoon of fun.
One of the hardest parts of running a home business is
separating your work from your family and social life. Here
are six proven ways to keep your home life running smoothly
while keeping your business on track.
1. First, create a work schedule and stick with it. It may
be tempting to answer personal calls during the day or take
business calls after-hours, but doing this actually shows
that you’re expendable – not dependable – and people will
take for granted that you’ll “always be there” for any
little things that come up. Even though family comes first,
stay true to your business hours and resist the urge to chat
with friends or pick up groceries during working hours.
2. Your friends may consider “working from home” an
invitation to chat during the day or just go out for coffee
or shopping for an afternoon. Make it clear that your
business hours are just that – for business. Leave personal
calls for after-hours, and you’ll find that your friends
will gradually accept your schedule without feeling
slighted.
3. Just because you have to set up a work schedule, doesn’t
mean that you have to keep the same hours as everyone else.
One of the benefits of working for yourself is setting your
own hours to fit your most productive times. Whether you’re
an early bird or a night owl, you’ll find that you’ll get
much more done when you’re attuned to your body’s own
natural rhythms. Some people work in the morning, take a
break in the afternoon when the kids are home from school,
and work again in the evening. Schedule your work time
when you feel the most productive and you’ll find that
things get done easier, faster and better than when you were
dragging along during those same rigid work hours that
everyone else has.
4. If getting after-hours business calls or work day
personal calls is a problem, it helps to have a separate
business phone line, or at least an answering machine or
voice mail, to take the incoming calls. This also gives
your business a more professional appearance to clients than
if you and your family make and receive calls from the same
phone line.
5. If at all possible, try to separate your “home office”
from the rest of your home. If you don’t have the luxury of
a separate room, a room partition or screen can be just as
helpful. This also serves as a visual cue to family that
you’re working and shouldn’t be bothered.
6. Dress and act professionally while working. Some people
find it helpful to dress in casual business attire during
their working hours. This reinforces that just because
you’re working from home doesn’t make you any less of a
professional. Answer the phone with your name, or business
name, and keep your children off the phone during business
hours. Also, spend money investing in the tools you need to
do your job right. A cell phone, fax machine or even a
budget computer can help turn your home office into a true
workspace.
If you follow all of these tips and stick with them, chances
are you’ll find a routine that not only makes you feel
productive and active in your business, but also projects
the message that you mean business – literally!

Ever notice how some websites grab your attention and hold
if for hours, even to the point where you must consciously
drag yourself away from the monitor?
In an age when websites truly rate a “dime a dozen,”
discovering a really great website feels more like finding a
$10 bill on the sidewalk than merely surfing the Internet.
Whether their creators did it on purpose or not, virtually
all successful websites share the following characteristics:
First, every good website focuses on a specific, narrow,
“niche” audience.
Imagine the difference between a light bulb and a laser
beam.
Both provide light, but the laser focuses its light with
pinpoint precision, while the light bulb diffuses its light
in every direction.
In other words, successful websites don’t try to sell
cooking supplies to people interested in the latest fishing
or hunting equipment.
They specifically provide content on exact topics of
interest to their target audience, instead of trying to
offer all things to all people.
Second, with the exception of personal, family, or hobby
websites, every website operates with the ultimate purpose
of turning a profit.
Unfortunately many websites make this their only purpose
and, thus, fail miserably in their attempts to succeed
online.
We saw how blatantly greedy, self-centered websites failed
in the “dot-bomb” era… and it got ugly.
On the other hand, successful websites make money as a
result of providing products, services, and information of
obvious value for their targeted visitors.
They win by putting the needs and desires of the visitors
first and get rewarded in the process.
Next, virtually every good website shares something in
common with successful newspapers and magazines:
great headlines!
Any website that makes it over the long haul does so by
quickly communicating the main theme of the website with a
compelling headline or opening statement that pulls people
into the text.
Most people surf the Web in “stay or bail” mode, meaning
they constantly evaluate everything they see on whether they
should keep reading or click away to another website.
The headline or opening statement on any website represents
the single most powerful factor to influence people to stick
around and find out more, or hit their back button faster
than you can say “Windows Blue Screen of Death!”
Finally, once a good website pulls a targeted visitor into
the text, they provide focused, benefit-oriented product
information, articles and other content that plays to the
reader’s built-in mental radio station, WII-FM (What’s In It
For Me)!
By providing narrowly focused content, the website satisfies
specific desires for the audience and, if it’s a topic of
intense interest, holds their attention for an extended
period of time and gets them to buy.
The next time you get a “great idea” for an ebook, Internet
business, or someone approaches you with a “can’t miss”
online tech stock, pull out this list and use it to evaluate
the big picture.
Understanding how and why websites succeed or fail can help
you predict the ultimate fate of just about any online
venture.

Keywords are an essential component of producing a web site.
These are the words which the search engines use to help
categorize and rank your pages. For instance, if your web
site is about ‘writing articles’ then your keywords could
include ‘writing’, ‘articles’, ‘article writing’ and so on.
The advice from many web designers and search engine
optimizers has been to find as many keywords as you can.
They advise you to search for keywords using a variety of
online tools and software programs which can identify
leading keywords. At first sight this seems attractive, but
it actually defies logic.
Let’s take a look at the aim of a search engine. It’s job is
to track down pages that meet the specific search term that
a web surfer has typed in. The more closely the pages it
serves up match the search term, the better it is for users.
Search engines need to be as accurate as possible in
delivering the right material to their users. Otherwise the
web surfer goes elsewhere.
Now imagine you are a search engine algorithm - the
mathematical program which calculates the probability of any
web page matching the search term typed in. If the page has
hundreds, or thousands of keywords you’ll be a bit confused.
For instance, is this web page about ‘article writing’, or
is it about ‘feature writing for journalists’. They are
different things. You’ll end up knowing the page is relevant
but not that relevant. So you rank it down the bottom.
But what if the page only has the keyword ‘article writing’
several times? You’re absolutely clear the page is about
article writing and so you rank it highly.
Admittedly, it’s not quite as simple as this. But this is
the principle of search engine technology. It is trying to
find the most relevant pages that match the search term.
What this means for Internet marketers is that you need
separate pages for each keyword. Focus each page on each
individual keyword. Use the keyword in headings,
sub-headings, the page text, the page title tag and in the
meta tags. Avoid having pages which contain several keywords
as that simply confuses the search engines and lowers your
rankings.
So forget the advice to have hundreds or thousands of
keywords. Go for single pages that match single keywords and
you will find your page traffic increase.
This trick also works for Google AdWords. Each advert should
apply to just a handful of keywords - you get much greater
click through rates and therefore cheaper advertising when
you only have a couple of keywords per advert. If you have
hundreds of keywords you’ll find you’ll get greater results
by having keyword specific ads, rather than one advert with
hundreds of keywords.
So go against the advice of filling your pages and adverts
with keywords. Go specific.

I sure am glad you read these little messages! I value you as a subscriber, and even tho’ we may not have met, as a friend.
Here’s an informative creating Google Adsense web sites article I’d like to share with you this week –hope you like it!
5 Ways To Improve Your Adsense Earnings
If webmasters want to monetize their websites, the great way to do it is through Adsense. There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn some good money a day through their sites. But then some of the “geniuses” of them are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters different from the other kind is that they are different and they think out of the box.
The ones who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so.
Here are some 5 proven ways on how best to improve your Adsense earnings.
1. Concentrating on one format of Adsense ad. The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format have the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.
2. Create a custom palette for your ads. Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, This will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.
3. Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.
4. Maintain links to relevant websites. If you think some sites are better off than the others, put your ads there and try to maintaining and managing them. If there is already lots of Adsense put into that certain site, put yours on top of all of them. That way visitor will see your ads first upon browsing into that site.
5. Try to automate the insertion of your Adsense code into the webpages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Adsense code in a text file, save it as “adsense text”, and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.
These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.
Note also that there are many other Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every clickthrough that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Adsense something that people will definitely click on.
Tips given by those who have boosted their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, maybe it can work wonders for you too. Try them out into your ads and see the result it will bring.
If others have done it, there is nothing wrong trying it out for yourself.

You worked hard on your new web site…You have the
best designs, did killer ad copy, included free
content to keep your visitors coming back, and then
submitted your web page to 300 search engines in ten
minutes using an automated program.
Then, you wait…And wait…And wait.
You decide there must be something wrong so you go
to http://www.infoseek.com to see if your page was
listed. You searched for your domain by name and
there it was. You decided to search for “puppy books”
since your site was selling books on puppies.
Nothing. You went page after page into the results
and eventually found that your site was listed
345th in the listings. Well, you think to yourself,
it’s better than nothing!
The real truth though is that unless you come up
in the Top 20 in the major search engines under
the keywords that you select for your site, you
will not ever receive any decent level of traffic
from it. People just don’t go past the first couple
of pages (10 - 20 listings) when they are searching
the internet.
What I am going to include for you below is a simple
step-by-step system for getting top listings on the
major search engines. It isn’t always easy. Sometimes
it is frustrating when things don’t work out right,
BUT it is worth it because one Top 20 listing can
bring in sales to your site day after day and month
after month without a penny spent on advertising.
* The Number One Key is Content *
The number one key to getting good positions on the
search engines is having fresh and relevant content
about your subject. This is becoming more and more
important all the time not only when dealing with
search engines, but also with linking with other
sites, causing people to come back, and making sales
online. The winner in online marketing is the
company who provides the most useful content for
free to their customers.
The most important directory of all online is the
King “Yahoo.” They have reviewers who actually go
out and take a look at every site which is going
to be included in their index. If they see just a
bunch of sales letters or links to affiliate
programs, then you won’t even have a chance of
being listed. They only list around 1 in 10 sites
which is submitted to them, so the only way you
are going to be listed is by having unique content
for their index.
NOTE: A recent tip which I have learned for Yahoo
is that when you submit your site to their index,
take a look at the other sites in the same catagory
and make sure you include some content on your site
about the subject which is lacking on the other
sites.
Then, in the comments section or in an email to
Yahoo, let them know how well they have covered
your subject, but that you have found some
information on your site which will help to
complete their index. Remember, they are not there
to help you. They are there to build a resource
for their visitors. If you can provide some unique
content on your subject, you are that much more
likely of getting listed.
* Basic Strategy *
The first step in successful search engine
promotion is to pick and identify the right keywords
to use in your page, in your title, and in your
keywords. Select 3 - 10 keywords that will target
and identify your targeted market online. What
will people be searching for who will potentially
purchase your products or services?
Don’t try to list 100 keywords in your keyword
section and try to come up under everything. It
just won’t work. Don’t try to come up under
“sex” if your site is about internet marketing.
You need to target your market on search engines
just like you would in any other market. If you
wouldn’t want to Pay money to come up under that
keyword, don’t focus on trying to earn it on the
engines either. Use Laser targeted marketing.
* Your Main Page *
Many of the search engines are now giving higher
weight to your main page if your domain name also
contains the keywords. For example, if you wanted
to come up under “Internet Secrets,” then the
perfect domain name for you to have to contain
those two words. If you were to get that domain
name, then you would have an advantage on the
search engine listings in almost every search
engine you submit to.
Some of the Search engines such as Yahoo won’t
even list a page besides your main index page
anymore. In other words, if you are on a free
hosting server, you can’t get listed there anymore.
You have to own your own domain name to even
stand a fighting chance.
* Eight Keys for High Ranking Pages *
1. TITLE: Your page title needs to contain the
keywords that you are trying to get listed under
while at the same time being interesting and
exciting ad copy. Remember, your title tag will
be what gets listed on people’s favorite places
if they bookmark your site AND the title is the
first thing they see when they are searching on
the search engines. If they don’t like your title,
they won’t click to your site.
2. KEYWORDS: Make sure your keywords are in the
keyword meta tag. List all of them, but also be
careful to make sure that none of the keywords
gets listed more than two or three times total.
Example: If your keywords are internet marketing,
internet promotion, internet secrets, and internet
tools; change them to internet marketing,
promotion, secrets, internet tools.
3. DESCRIPTION: Make sure your keywords are in a
25 word description of your site…but at the
same time remember that many of the search engines
will also be list this description for your
potential visitors to see…so it needs to sound
inviting to get them to click through to your
site.
4. COMMENTS: The comment tags aren’t used by
all of the engines, but you should still include
a short comment on your site full of some of the
keywords. It could help you out on a couple of
the search engines.
5. TEXT OF YOUR SITE: Your site needs to look
attractive and list your keyword throughout the
text. How often your keyword should be seen
throughout the actual text is up for debate and
is different on each engine, but it varies
between 3% and 10% of your text. In other words,
every 3 - 10 words out of a 100 on your site
should be the keyword you are targeting most.
This isn’t as easy to change on your main page,
but it is something for you to really play with
on your Doorway pages which we discuss below.
6. IMAGE TAGS: List your keywords once inside of
an image which you have on your page to give you
one more extra chance of being listed under those
words. People will see these tags before your
pictures become visible so make sure you use them
in a sentence that makes sense and that you
don’t just list them over and over (Spamming
the search engine with them).
7. LINKS: Many of the search engines count the
number of links coming to and from your pages
and other sites linking to your site throughout
the internet (This is another reason to trade
links with as many sites as possible). So, link
back and forth between your pages (This is a
smart thing to do anyway so that people can go
through your site simply and easily).
8: CREATE DOORWAYS OR LEAD PAGES: Sometimes, on
some keywords, it just seems that you can’t get
a Top 20 ranking no matter what you do with your
main page. On these occasions (Which occur very
often), create what is called a doorway page.
These pages are specifically created with one
or two keywords in mind and really focus on
these words.
These words are in your title, your keywords,
your description, and your comment tags. They
go inside of an alt image tag. And you make
sure they are used on 3% - 10% of the page…
sometimes as high as 15%. They should be around
3 - 5 paragraphs long and link back and forth
between other lead pages you create for other
keywords.
* Use Competitive Research to Stay on The
Cutting Edge *
I was preparing to list some of the specific
tips for each search engine in this report,
but then I realized that just wouldn’t work.
Whatever I list today for one search engine
could be completely different by tomorrow
afternoon.
The various directories are constantly
changing their ways of indexing pages (Partly
to keep us from keeping up with them) and
one resource just won’t tell you how to submit
to every individual search engine 100% all
of the time.
What you can do though is become a digital
detective and keep an eye on the rankings on
the different search engines for yourself.
After you have created a page and had it
listed a certain rank, start visiting the
sites which come up above your site in the
rankings and check them out. Judge them by
the 8 guideliness given to you above.
All you have to do is go to their page (Go
to several of them to get a better idea of
the rankings) and then click on “View” at
the top of your browser. Then, choose
“Source.” Your Notepad should come up and
show you the source .html code for the page
you are looking at.
Take notice of the keywords in their title,
keywords, description, images, comments, and
especially on how often it is used
throughout their text. What are they doing
differently? Keep in mind all the engines
are changing constantly and each one of them
is completely different from all of the others.
If you constantly do this and learn the
basics I have given you above, you will be
able to start getting your pages listed in
the Top 20 of the search engines and watch
your traffic and sales soar. It isn’t always
easy, but it is worth it.
———————————————
promote you. Not only do you have affiliates
you sign up advertise your site, but they
refer others to advertise you as well.
People are always asking why they need to
start their own viral marketing strategy…
It’s simple. A traffic virus means you may
never lose money advertising again!
That’s right. Having your own traffic virus
could mean that every ad you place from now
on can be a winner!
The above sentence is a pretty strong
statement, isn’t it?
It’s true.
I almost surprised myself at just how powerful
a traffic virus can be when I first put mine
in place. Every ad I placed instantly became
a winner…even when I lost money!
Let me explain.
Let’s say you place an ezine ad, which costs
you $200. You make $20 for every item you
sell. You sell 9 of them through the ad so
you bring in $180. You have now lost $20 on
your ad. Most people would call it a failure.
I use a different system, which reduces my
advertising risk. Instead of advertising
directly for a product, I advertise to bring
in email leads. My goal is to get people to
give me their email address so I can
follow-up on them.
Using autoresponders that automatically
follow-up gives me the ability to set up a
completely automated follow-up system for
the product. Three, Seven, or even Thirty
email follow-up messages can be used to
generate sales for my product.
Instead of only having one shot to sell my
visitors from a web site, I have thirty tries
to sell them. Who do you think will make
more sales?
My system actually goes one step further. I
always try to use an element of viral
marketing in the promotional aspect of the
offer. My favorite technique is the traffic
virus ebook offer.
In exchange for prospects giving me their
email address, I will give them a highly
informative free ebook, which they are
allowed to pass around and give to their
friends. Not only will the book teach them,
but also they can use it to produce more
traffic and sales at their web site.
They win by getting a very valuable book
for free. I win because my traffic virus
gets started. I still get to follow-up by
email to sell them my products and
services…so I am still bringing in
immediate profits from my advertising.
Let’s say I place the ad above for $200
and only bring in $180. I lose $20 today,
BUT this is only the beginning of the
traffic the ad will generate for me.
All of those people who visited my site…
who may or may not of bought my product…
are now passing around my free ebook and
sending more visitors my way.
More sales are made next month…and the
month after…and the month after. It is
a never-ending process of sales being made.
The $20 I lost originally from the ad will
be replaced hundreds of times through new
visitors I never have to work or pay for.
Every single ad I place becomes a launch
point for another aspect of my traffic virus.
Having a traffic virus reduces your
advertising risk.
Look at this way. If you are paying for your
advertising, then every time you place an
ad you are risking your money. Your ad may
or may not produce a profit. You could make
$1,000 from your $200 ad or you may lose
$100.
If you have a traffic virus in place, then
your ad can continue to work for you years
into the future and it reduces your
advertising risk. Even when you lose money,
you still win in the long run.
What if you are only using free advertising
methods? This system still reduces your risk.
Free advertising costs you time (and we all
only have 24 hours in a day so it is limited
just like money). You may spend your time
placing free ads and produce $100 in profits.
If those ads took you 10 hours to place,
then you only earned $10 an hour for your
time.
Ten dollars an hour wouldn’t be very good
time investment for your business. If you
had a traffic virus in place, other people
would then start advertising for you by
taking and handing out your
traffic-generating machine to others.
You may have only earned $10 an hour while
working on your free advertising, but your
traffic virus then goes to work for you 24
hours a day 7 days a week. You generate
traffic forever for the 10 hours you spent
advertising this week.
Wouldn’t it be better to profit today…and
build a residual income for the future at
the same time?

HOW TO TURN YOUR AUTORESPONDER INTO A CASH COW

How do you identify an expert these days? You can buy a legitimate-looking PhD.
at any number of online “life skills for credit” phony universities. You don’t see the
person at the other end of most web conversations.
And though you may know more about a particular subject, for example car mechanics,
than 99.9% of people, you may not come across online as knowledgeable. Most car
mechanics are known for fixing cars, not writing.
Simply put, most people don’t write well for the Internet. Though someone might tell
you a hundred times to put content articles on your website, articles that show you
know what you’re doing, that doesn’t mean you’re capable of writing one that comes
across as capable or even literate.
Yet content articles are the key to getting yourself seen on the Internet; they ensure
that your website is picked up by the search engines, driving traffic to your site.
And the keywords within that article drive the right traffic to your site – those who
are looking for your specific product or service. The good information contained in
the article ensures your customers remain at your site.
Nothing online is more powerful than your content articles.
Using Content Articles
Content articles relevant to your site, placed carefully where both search engines
and prospective customers can easily see them, are critical to the success of your
website. Make them more readable by:
- Keeping your page well-organized
- Minimizing graphics, especially fancy animated ones
- Delivering succinct, readable information (preferably with lots of bullets and headings)
- Eliminating grammar and spelling errors
After this, you should ensure that there are plenty of keywords in the top part of your
document, particularly in the title and headers. Take care of the customer’s needs
first, then the search engine spider’s.
But not everyone has the skills to write articles, particularly not in such a specific way.
There are other ways to get your information. For instance, lots of webmasters have
been using article directories, websites that provide free downloads of articles containing
content optimized for your website.
Others have contracted directly with writers or with content article brokers like
www.YourOwnArticles.com to purchase content articles tailored to their needs to
put on their websites as their own.
Both using free downloads and paying for articles have positives and negatives.
Here’s a breakdown.
- Free downloads are, by definition, free.
- Articles you buy are not. But they are generally not outrageously expensive either.
- The free articles require you to place a “resource box” on your site containing the
author’s name and, generally, his or her web site address with a link.
- Articles you buy can generally be placed on your website with your name on them
as author.
Both types are of similar quality as far as content; purchased articles may be better
written, as they’re written by professional writers.
You’ve heard the old adage that you get what you pay for? If you use the freebie, it
may seem like a great deal. But by placing the resource box of the other author on
your website, you may be sending a message to customers you don’t intend.
You’re saying, “I’m not the expert. But this guy is, and here’s his website.”
At the very least, if you use free articles you should ensure that the author is not selling
a competing product to yours. At best, you’re better off not putting his link on your site
at all.
It may be better to spend a little money, and get that perfect article on your website with
you as the author – denoting you as the real expert.

Fresh content – that is the grail of the Internet. Everyone wants to have it on their site,
everyone wants to be able to access it on other sites. Audiences are hungry for it.
But how do you manage it? And how do you ensure your traffic keeps coming back for it?
Blogging
One of the most popular new methods of constantly refreshing content is by maintaining a
blog, short for weblog. This is almost an online personal or public journal you maintain as
often as several times a day.
On private or personal web sites, it may often take the form of a diary. On a business oriented
website, a blog is generally updated daily or a couple of times a week, and contains information
about your business or your product rather than personal feelings or thoughts.
One of the best things about blogging is that you can write all your content for a week and store
it on the blog engine, setting entries to be released to the public blog daily or whenever you want
them released. So you can maintain a daily blog even though you only work on it once a week.
Blogs, however, are time-intensive and may be too much for a busy business owner to maintain.
Articles
You can also maintain fresh articles on your site weekly or monthly. If you do update articles on
a regular basis, make certain that the release date of the current article is prominently displayed
somewhere on the article’s page so that the surfer can see that the article is fresh.
You don’t have to write your own information. Instead, you can contract with a writer or with an
article broker like www.YourOwnArticles.com to either have articles custom written for you, or
to buy pre-written articles that you can then publish as your own.
You should also maintain a dated archive of all the articles you’ve had on your site with their release
dates at the top, so that casual browsers can also see you have a track record of maintaining fresh
content.
But many web surfers go to your site, click away, and never return. How can you keep them
coming back?
Newsletters
An emailed newsletter can be the most powerful tool you have to maintain repeat customers.
It’s a simple concept. You compose the newsletter in either plain text or in HTML.
Allow your customer to sign up for free to receive your newsletter in their email every time it’s
released. Collect the email addresses, compile them into a database, and send out your newsletter
on at least a monthly basis.
But it is a little more complicated. After all, you want to drive traffic to your site. Instead of putting
entire articles in your newsletter, consider putting a teaser to certain articles in the newsletter, with
a link to the article in its entirety on your website.
Or insert a special coupon in your newsletter that the reader can redeem for special bargains or
freebies on your website.
You can include a “what’s new” section in your newsletter, highlighting any new products or
developments on your website and directing the reader to appropriate links. And you can also
allow other people to advertise in your newsletter, focusing on those with whom you have an
affiliate relationship.
Another idea for your newsletter is to run a contest or survey. Everyone likes to win stuff, and
everyone likes to be asked what they think. If you have a large email newsletter list, you can
offer a gift certificate as a prize, but require anyone interested in participating to come to your
website to sign up with their email.
This gives you the added advantage of being able to compare the contest signups with your
email list; are they significantly different? Or is it pretty clear who your best customers are?
Updating Content Frequently
Regardless of how you run your newsletter, you should never neglect your main site. Update
its content frequently. Make sure all the information contained on it is correct and recent.
Most importantly (though for a slightly different reason), make certain your home page has
something fresh on it at least every month.
This isn’t for your customers. It’s for the web spiders. When spiders catalog your site, one
of the things they’ve been looking for recently is differences from the last time they spidered
your site and what’s on your site now.
If you don’t have any differences this time, or the next time, or the next time, the spiders will
decide you have a static website, and your ranking will go down. Frequent updates, or
even just shuffling things around, on your home page will prevent this from happening.

There is one thing that is true about email - most people get a lot of it.
Sometimes it is hard to keep your inbox cleaned out. If you are considering
an email bulk campaign to get your business up and running, you will need
to be personal in your emails.
It takes a lot more than just sending an email and say buy my product.
It takes heart, consideration and manners. Read a little more about the
issues that you will need to address to be successful.
Check before you begin to see if it is ok to make contact. It is best to
use an opt-in-list. There is nothing more infuriating than to get countless
emails from someone you perceive to be pushy. It says to the customer
that you do not care about their feelings or of their feeling put upon.
If they click to join your informational campaign then you’ll know they will
listen. This depends on whether you have convincing copy. You will fail
if do not have a tactful approach.
Talking at your customer is a no – no. Talking with your customer is the
approach to take. First, you have to know what the customer wants and
what their needs and interests are. Why is it important to know this?
Because you may have other websites and you want to let them know
about those products as well.
Make sure any message you send will gather more information for you to
study. Tailor it to look at how they buy, and why they buy your product.
It is wise to post your questions as an informational opportunity to serve
them better.
Next consider the approach of using a personalization to your email
campaign. You wouldn’t go up to a complete stranger on the street
and yell “hey you, you want to buy my widget?” You will want to
personalize the email with their name to make it less offensive. Consider
that you will need to respond to emails if the customer asks
you a question.
You should answer as promptly as you can, if possible within a 24-hour
period. If that is not possible, you can purchase an auto responder.
Remember you are up against a lot of competition and if your customer
does not get the answer they need – they will go somewhere else in a flash.
When you write your message for the bulk email campaign, consider the
subject line. What subject line catches your eye? Do you open email
without a real email address? It is likely that you simply toss those emails
without opening them. Do you appreciate a bunch of exclamations and
dollars signs in the subject title? To most, it tells them that it’s an impersonal
sales email, and again it feels pushy.
If your potential customer is not interested, they may just press the delete key.
When people read emails, they appreciate honesty. The best way to achieve
that is to state the facts quickly and get to the point. Questions often work
nicely in the subject line. The fact that many people have email filters is another
reason to write your bulk email carefully.
Listing the benefits of your product will get your customers attention and may
lead to them responding. However, dragging out the message and writing
uninspiring text will bore them. You will not hear from them again and profits
will quickly diminish. Tight compact writing makes emails short and simple.
If you want your customer to act, do not direct them to the point of clicking
and responding to any email sent.
After they are at your website, do not leave them stranded. Point them to
exactly what you want them to do, and make it easy to do it. Web design
factors are very important. Cluttered pages and broken links are a pain for
your customer. You may need to redesign your web pages to make it easier
for the customer to order.
Creating a bulk email campaign is easy. But, making a bulk email campaign
successful takes some work. Most of all, it takes a willingness to have a
personal relationship in a very impersonal setting on the Internet. It can be
done; it’s only a mater of how much heart you’re willing to give. So take
charge of your own success with a successful bulk email campaign.
